INEC Backs Machina Over Ahmed Lawan For Yobe North
Bashir Machina has been declared the winner of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) primary for the Yobe North Senatorial District by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). NAIJA NEWS reports.

But the electoral body has now certified Machina as the winner, but victory is not fully achieved as he is still expecting additional fights ahead when INEC will post candidates standing for election across different political parties in the coming weeks. jamb results
INEC had said it lacked the powers to pick a candidate in an election, even though its authentication was necessary to certify that an election was held.
Lawan tried seizing the ticket from Machina after losing at the ruling party’s presidential convention, which was won handily by Bola Tinubu on June 8.
