Sagiru Abdullahi, age 29, was sentenced to death by hanging by the Kano State High Court on Thursday for stabbing to death his stepmother, Zainab Dan’Azumi, age 55.
The court found Abdullahi guilty of one count of murder with premeditation.

Mr. Tijjani Ibrahim, the prosecutor, had previously informed the court that the crime was perpetrated by Abdullahi in June 2014 in Kano’s Kurmawa Quarters.
According to him, the criminal fatally hacked the victim’s head with a machete, causing her death.JAMB portal
