The lawmakers of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who aspire for positions inside the House of Representatives and the Senate have pushed their campaigns further.
The elected senators of the PDP said they will examine available offers from 3 APC senators who want to be Senate President before adoption.
The lawmakers of APC have extended their campaigns farther from the National Assembly. They are lobbying and reaching out to the presidency and the APC committee.
The APC senators have received terms from the aspirants. A source said the position of the Deputy Senate President will go to the South-South.
The source also referred to Senator Francis Alimikhena to be from the same local government area inside of Edo State which will be considered during zoning. Also Senator Ajayi Boroffice wrote a congratulatory message to the elected senators asking for their support.
He is from the South-West. An aspirant in the House, Mr Olusegun Odebunmi said he is soliciting support from the North. Some of the aspirants like Mr Mohammed Bago who is from Niger State went for support from Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and Ooni of Ife.
However news sources say that the APC chairman will not share power with their PDP counterparts which is a disturbance to the APC aspirants.
