Messi didn’t deserve to win Ballon d’Or over Haaland, others – Singer Bayanni

Nigerian musical artist Bayanni has voiced his opinion on the prestigious 2023 Ballon d’Or award, suggesting that Argentine superstar Lionel Messi was not the most deserving recipient.InformationGuideNigeria

Bayanni’s comments come after Messi clinched a record-extending eighth Ballon d’Or, edging out notable names like Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.

During a conversation with Cool FM Nigeria in Lagos, Bayanni questioned the accolade, pointing out that despite Messi’s high-profile victory at the World Cup, the achievement alone should not guarantee the Ballon d’Or, as other World Cup winners in the past have not automatically received the award.JAMB Result

He said, “Based on what I’ve been hearing from people, Messi won the Ballon d’Or because he won the World Cup. But many people collected World Cup trophies in the past and they didn’t win the Ballon d’Or.
