Caleb Mutfwang, the one-time chairman of Mangu local government of Plateau, has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for 2023 elections.
According to PeoplesGazette, Bode Ogunmola, the returning officer who announced the result, said Mr Mutfwang polled 252 votes to defeat 13 other aspirants that contested the governorship primary. Information Guide Nigeria
Mr Ogumlnmola announced that Kefas Ropshik came second with 113 votes and stated that 604 delegates were to participate in the election but 601 turned up and cast their votes.

“Mr Caleb Mutfwang having scored the highest votes is hereby declared governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party in Plateau,” he announced.
According to the results announced, Alfred Damial came third with 92 votes followed by Dauda Gotiring who scored 88 votes while Jonathan Akuns got 16 votes. Satu Jewun got nine votes; Shedrack Best got four votes and Bagudu Hirse, four votes.
