Gabkwet highlighted a particularly successful operation that took place on January 5th at Parisu, a location near the Sambisa Forest. This area, once a stronghold for terrorists, had been deserted following previous clearance operations by troops.InformationGuideNigeria

The recent activity, involving terrorists moving suspected weapons and ammunition to the area, prompted the NAF to conduct a targeted strike.JAMB Result

The directive to strike Parisu was based on suspicions about the terrorists’ intentions and plans. The operation resulted in significant damage, with two adjacent spots within the area engulfed in flames. Subsequent reports indicated that approximately 12 terrorists were neutralized in the strike, and their logistics capabilities were substantially degraded, hindering their ability to launch attacks.

Additionally, Gabkwet mentioned a similar strike carried out on January 6, approximately 1.5 kilometers southwest of Tumbun Agiri in the Lake Chad region.JAMB Portal

Intelligence had indicated a gathering of armed terrorists in vehicles and on motorcycles, leading to the decision to attack the location. The precision strikes were successful, resulting in the destruction of vehicles and motorcycles and the elimination of several terrorists.
