The commendation came following a motion moved by Comrade Salahudeen Lukman, an undergraduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria which was seconded by Comrade Alade Emmanuel Kehinde, the Student Union Government President at Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti.
“The mere fact that NNPC took steps to name the major oil marketers involved in the importation and immediately providing a remedy which included a 24 hours directive to all her operational outlets was very relieving to Nigerians. This action by NNPC helped in saving the country from major economic losses, hence Nigerian students are happy”.
“NANS uses this opportunity to call on NNPC not to spare any major marketer named in the mess of importing adulterated fuel into the country as they pose a threat of instigating artificial scarcity of fuel. We would follow up with a task force team to ensure those indicted are not left off the hook”. jamb results
