Samuel Ortom, the former governor of Benue State, has stated that the G5 Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would support President Bola Tinubu in the event of his re-election bid in 2027. The G5 Governors, comprising Wike, Ortom, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (former governor of Enugu), Seyi Makinde (governor of Oyo), and Okezie Ikpeazu (former governor of Abia), previously did not endorse the presidential campaign of the PDP’s candidate, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, during the 2023 general elections.
