Osinbajo: Nigeria Can Become Global Leader In Digital Economy

According to the report from dailytrustVice President Yemi Osinbajo has said Nigeria has the requisite talents, creativity, and acumen to become a world leader in the digital economy.Infomation Guide Nigeria

On Monday, he was a special guest and keynote speaker at this year’s Nigeria Digital Economy Summit (NDES) in Abuja on “Web 3.0, Blockchain and DeFi: Implications for Africa’s Digital Economy”.

The Vice President said that with the right approach and policies, as well as the country’s human capital and potential, Nigeria can indeed become a global leader in digital technology, with all its many implications.

He delves into various advances since his Web 1 in 1989 and since the emergence of Internet use on a large and global scale, highlighting the future of technology, the digital economy and its global impact on Nigeria in particular.

He said: “A whole new world is unfolding before our very eyes, unlike Web 1 and 2 where we were relatively disadvantaged.

In 1989, we didn’t have mobile phones, so we could not take advantage of the reach and depth that mobile telecoms gave digital innovation and financial inclusion. We are now better positioned to be significant players in Web 3.Jamb Result
