Owo Massacre: Monarch Berates Nigerian Govt For Insecurity
Nigerian Government has been berated for the killings of several worshippers at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo in Ondo State by some bandits during service on Sunday.
Reacting to the massacre while welcoming members of Krown Club in his palace, the traditional ruler of Ijebu-Owo, the Olijebu of Ijebu-Owo, Oba Kofoworola Oladoyinbo Ojomo said the failure of the Federal Government to stem series of attacks unleashed by insurgents across the nation was responsible for the Owo attack. Oba Ojomo condemned the government for allegedly placing little or no value on the life of its citizens, which, he observed, gave the criminals the gut to kill innocent people.
The monarch said: “We have less than 300 policemen to police activities here in Owo. The security of our people does not mean anything to the present administration. They are just waiting for the administration to end without any solution in sight. jamb results
