In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele indicated that he anticipates a betrayal by the igbos, whom he alleges are providing the presidential candidate with phoney support. He added that Peter Obi has all the qualifications to be president, but that he is surrounded by those who do not contribute to his aspirations.

He stated that God is the sole determinant of his election as president and that he should seek his intervention instead of relying on the ‘false’ support of his clan.

The majority of Igbos who support Peter Obi are providing him with phoney support; he has not done his homework to win the 2023 presidential election. Peter Obi would be betrayed in the upcoming election by the Igbos, hence he must revise his strategy.
