President of Nigeria, General Muhammadu Buhari on Monday paid a special condolence visit to the families of the nine persons who died in the Sabon Gari, Kano, gas explosion.
The President, who was at the palace of the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, during the condolence visit, said he was in Kano for a national assignment but thought he should see them to sympathise with them. DAILY POST reports. jamb results
Speaking during the visit, Governor Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, said his government has already provided N1 million to each family. Information Guide Nigeria
He said 27 persons were seriously injured and the government has taken over the medical cost of their treatments, adding that measures to prevent a recurrence have been taken.
