Price of Tractor

The Tractor is a very important Agricultural machinery for any modern farmer to obtain. This is because most of the farm implements are powered by the Tractor.

Now the prices of farm tractors vary according to their sizes. Starting from the lowest size which is the hand pushed Tractor, the price of a fairly used one is between 350000 naira and 500000 naira.

One will get a new one at the price range of between 1.2 and 2 million naira. For medium sized tractors, the price of getting a fairly used one is between 2.5 million and 4 million naira.

It is very difficult to get a brand new Tractor of the medium size in Nigeria. For tractors that fall into the category of the biggest size, the price range of the fairly used one is between 6 and 12 million naira.

But one can get a new one at a minimum Price of 11 million naira. The common brands of tractors sold in Nigeria are Massey Ferguson and New Holland.

The prices of purchasing these tractors, have a direct impact on the price at which they are hired or rented out. A farmer can only rent a Tractor on a daily basis. The higher the price of purchasing a tractor, the higher the rate at which it can be hired or rented out.

Price of the Bulldozer

The bulldozer is another important and common agricultural machinery needed on a farm with large acres of land. It is actually a tractor with a broad steel blade in its front.

It is used for land clearing operations on the farmland. It is used to perform land clearing operations like Bush clearing, uprooting of trees and tree stumps.

The minimum Price at which a bulldozer can be purchased in Nigeria is 10 million naira. Even this is the price of a fairly used bulldozer of the lowest size.

In fact it is very difficult to purchase a brand new bulldozer in Nigeria. We will be thinking of a price of 100 million naira to purchase a brand new bulldozer.

This is the reason why brand new bulldozer are really rare to find in Nigeria. Since brand new bulldozer are very difficult to find, few farmers resort to buying fairly used.

Then the price range of buying this fairly used agricultural machinery is between 10 million and 50 million naira depending on the size of the bulldozer.

So it is obvious that the bulldozer is a very expensive machine. The high cost of purchasing a bulldozer is one reason why farmers resort to the use of local farm tools like cutlass and axe to perform land clearing operations.
