Tinubu mourns Akintola Williams, says father of accounting in Africa gone

President Bola Tinubu has expressed pain over the death of the doyen of the accounting profession in Nigeria and the Sub-Saharan Africa, Akintola Williams.InformationGuideNigeria
Williams died on Monday, September 11, at the age of 104 years old.

Tinubu, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, acknowledged the accounting titan’s integrity, resilience and resourcefulness, which he said was very evident when he established the first accounting firm of African origin that encouraged many generations of accountants in Africa.
