The President of Nigeria, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) has admonished political leaders to stay focused and uphold the ultimate objective of promoting interest of the country rather than engage in the self-centeredness that led to the loss of about a million lives in the Nigerian Civil War of 1967 to 1970. NIGERIAN TRIBUNE reports.

President Buhari, who affirmed that “We are Nigerians, God willing we remain Nigerians, and Nigeria shall remain one,” made this remark when he received former state chairmen of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Tuesday.
