2023 Headies: Organisers fail to announce winners of 13 categories

The Headies Awards organisers failed to declare winners in 13 categories at the 16th edition of the award event on Sunday at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, USA.JAMB Result

Attendees and viewers around the world were taken aback when co-host Osas Ighodaro announced midway through the presentation that the ceremony had come to a close, despite the fact that roughly 13 categories had yet to be presented.

Best Female Artiste, Best Recording of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Best R&B Single, Best Vocal Performance (Female), Headies Viewers’ Choice, and Best East African Artiste of the Year are among the categories that have still to be announced.

Burna Boy’s ‘For My Hand’ featuring Ed Sheeran was voted Best R&B Single, Chike’s ‘The Brother’s Keeper’ was selected Best R&B Album, and Victony’s ‘Soweto’ was named Viewers’ Choice.

With the announcement of the remaining category winners, Burna Boy has now tied Rema for the most victories (three apiece).

Burna Boy received the most nominations (ten) and won three of the categories in which he was nominated.
