The motion to suspend the Chairman and the vote of no confidence were moved and seconded by Success Echefula and Nwakanma Dauglas, respectively, during an SWC meeting.
A central issue leading to this decision was Chimezuo’s acceptance of the position of Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Revenue Service Mobilization to the Chairman of Umuahia North LGA, Victor Ikeji.JAMB Result
The YPP deemed this action unacceptable, stating that Chimezuo’s new role made it untenable for him to continue as the party Chairman. Additionally, this action was viewed as a contravention of Section 31.14 and Article 31 of the YPP constitution.JAMB Portal
The party also clarified that it had not formed any alliance with the Labour Party and expressed confusion over Chimezuo’s refusal to resign from the SSA appointment after taking the position.informationguidenigeria
