The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University has announced its 15th and 16th combined Convocation and has issued instructions and guidelines to graduating students who will be participating in the convocation exercise. This is to inform the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 Graduands of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Parents/Guardians, Alumni of the University and the Public that activities marking the 15th and 16th combined Convocation Ceremonies of the University for the award of First and Higher Degrees, Diplomas and certificates, and Award of Honorary Degree will take place from Sunday, 13th to Friday, 18th March, 2022. Details of the activities which will commence on Sunday, 13 March, 2022 are as follows:

1. Sunday, 13th March, 2022

Interdenominational Service

Venue: University Auditorium

Time: 3.00 pm

2. Tuesday, 15th March, 2022

a) Presentation of Prizes to the best graduating students

Venue: University Auditorium UNIZIK Convocation Schedule 

Time: 10.00am

b) Maiden UNIZIK Sports Summit Jamb form 

Guest Lecturer: Prof Stephen Hamafyeho (President, Nigeria Universities Games Association)

Theme: The Role of Universities in Grasroot Development of Sport

3. Wednesday, 16th March, 2022 ) Exhibition/Research Fair

NOTICE TO ALL GRADUANDS

Graduands are please requested to note the following:

1. It is mandatory for all Graduands to pay for the following items irrespective of attendance to the Convocation Ceremony

a) Order of Proceedings

b) Academic Outfits

c) Certificate Scrolls

d) UNIZIK Handbook

e) UNIZIK T-shirt and cap

CONVOCATION FEES

First Degree 15,000

Masters Degree and Postgraduate Diplomas -23,400

PhD. — 65,900

1 All Graduands are expected to dress in full appropriate wear (i.e. suit, shirt and tie for men and suit/skirt and blouse or gown for Ladies) or full national dress.

II. Academic outfits for all first degree Graduands will be collected at the Faculties and Departments.

III Academic outfits/materials for Higher Degrees will be collected at the College of Postgraduate Studies.

IV. Graduands must present evidence of payment before Convocation materials they can collect

V. Collection of Convocation materials commences on 5 March, 2022.

VI. All hired academic outfits/gowns should be returned by the Gradaands to their respective collection points not later than Wednesday 25 March, 2022. Gowns returned after that date will attract penalty.

VII. All Graduands are to assemble at the College of Postgraduate Studies (Opposite the Convocation Arena) by 9.30 am. for the commencement of Procession each day.

VIII. It is compulsory for all Graduands to participate in the academic procession and to put on the approved academic regalia.

MODE OF PAYMENT

All payments to Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka should be made through the following procedure:

Fill in your personal details Select the desired(convenient) payment method

Click on “Proceed to Payment” Print invoice if you selected “Bank Payment or pay immediately with your card if you selected “Card Payment”

SECURITY NOTICE:

1. Luggage and bags will not be allowed into the Convocation Arena.

2. Parking lots are designated and can only be used on presentation of parking card and invitation card

3. University Security Personnel and other Security Agencies will direct all Vehicles to the designated parking lots.

4. No form of hawking of any item will be allowed near the Convocation Arena
