In this article, i will be considering how to unlock your phone. Before you purchase a mobile phone, there are a number of things you need to consider. However, we failed to make mention of the fact that buying an unlocked phone could be as bad (or maybe, good) as putting the cart before the horse. The simple understanding of unlocking your phone is that the phone is made to access the use of other network sim card.  A situation where you cannot use any other Sim card on the phone you bought other than the sim cards of the network provider where you bought the phone simply tells you that the phone is locked and therefore needs to be unlocked.

A.  Unlocking Remotely

This means some smartphones such as i-Phones can be unlocked by their network provider remotely. But if the phone was bought second hand or fairly used, some companies may require the request of the account holder, otherwise a third – party unlocker should be considered

B.  Use of Code

This involves the use of Network Unlock Code. Practically one needs to get it and enter it in the phone.   Every functional unlocking code should indicate its brand/model number, network and the IMEI Code.

The brand and model number is usually found on the phone, its inbox or the accompanying documents attached to the phone when it was bought. The network is the current network provider the phone is locked to. While the IMEI Code is the International Mobile Equipment Identity unique number

The code is gotten from the dedicated website to phone unlocking. The site will provide the code based on the information inserted into the phone.

To unlock the phone, remove the sim card out of the phone and insert a different sim from another network and then enter the code in.

Once the correct codes have been entered a message will be received showing restriction off or any similar message.  Care should be taken to ensure that the correct code is entered. This is usually cheaper when compare to the service charge for phone unlocking services offered by the network provider company. C.  Use of Clip(s)

The use of clips applies to a limited number of phones and it involves using specific data cable and software to unlock the phone. This can be done by phone unlockers or for most smart phones by the network provider.

Many local phone unlockers do have upper hand as a result of high patronage for unlocking of phones through the use of cables. It is advisable to make comparison to get useful information before patronizing a local phone unlocker to get best bargain and deal.

With smaller quantity of handsets you can try the cable service of phone unlocking. It is also possible to use online phone unlockers using the cable method but this is rather more expensive than the use of local phone unlockers.
