Ayodeji I. Balogun also popularly known by his stage name Wizkid is a Nigerian musician and a songwriter. He was born in July 16^th 1990 somewhere in Lagos state Nigeria. He accomplished his Universal basic education (UBE) in Surulere where he obtained his first school leaving certificate and his also secondary education where he obtained secondary school certification and WAEC results.

The rising start grew up to enjoy and having interest to good music that we began recording music at the age of 11 as reported on Wikipedia which means he started his recordings in the year 2001. He joined his church friends then (GloriousFive) in a collaboration to release their first Album. In the year 2009, Wizkid was signed by Banky W. on a record deal as an artist on Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) which he managed to release his first debut album superstar. The Album contains songs like Holla at your boy, Tease me, Don’t dull, Pakurumo, Love my baby and OluwaLo Ni.

In the year 2014, Wizkid made broke a record of being the first ever Nigerian Artist to hit 1 million followers in Instagram when he released his second single Album “AYO” in 2014. The Album is ended up to be the greatest at that time and a push to his music career giving him the international recognition and he ever wanted. Some hit tracks in the album include; Jaiye Jaiye, Bombay, On Top your matter and 3 others. He also drop 2 more albums sounds from the other side and Made in Lagos in 2017 and 2020 respectfully.

His main hit track that gave him international recognition was his collaboration with Drake on a song titles “One Dance” in 2016 which ended up giving him a place on the BillBoard Chart and also won couple of awards just for that one single.
