Alhaji Garba Kanya, the chairman of the Kafur Local Government Area, Alhaji Abdulrahman Rabe, the district chief of Kafur, and other top council officials had already visited the devastated area and the farmlands.
The council chairman expressed sympathy for the situation and urged the Gozaki Community and the impacted farmers to adopt
The local council will submit the event to the state emergency management agency for possible involvement, the chairman informed them, noting that farming is the community’s main industry.
In his remarks, Rabe voiced his alarm about the extent of the damage and asked for the government’s help on behalf of individuals whose farmlands were impacted.
The district chief gave a guarantee that the impacted farmers wouldn’t be left behind.
On Monday evening, the SEMA’s official response to the event was still anticipated.
