There was a group of computer educators, who lived in Nsukka. These computer educators have to come together, and then considered it most important and necessary to establish a professional body, that is national, for the purpose of promoting Computer Education in the country.

They did this by making sure that, guidelines that would be used for the training of teachers and other associated officials are followed properly and strictly.

The Computer Educators Association of Nigeria is a professional body that has been registered, and the Associate was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria.

The Computer Educators Association of Nigeria has its Certificate of Incorporation. It has about six members that have been registered and served as members of the Board of Trustees of the Computer Educators Association of Nigeria.

Over the years, the Computer Educators Association of Nigeria has been doing very well and waxing stronger with about seventy members, who have registered with the professional body.

Since its inauguration however, the Computer Educators Association of Nigeria has been working assiduously with a view to growing and developing the Association.

After such review, the Computer Educators Association of Nigeria has to then publish the articles in Computer Education Research Journal.

This Computer Education Research Journal of the Computer Educators Association of Nigeria is registered with the National Library, and it is the function of the Association to make sure that the Journal is registered with serial number, for example, the recognized International Serial Series Number.

6. Promotes Functional Computer Education
