How to do JAMB Regularization

JAMB Regularization is the process of ensuring that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) validates your current admission details with the Tertiary institution that offered you admission in their database, with the aim of securing the admission and granting admission letter/registration number.Information Guide Nigeria

If your current admission detail tallies with the admission/registration record in the tertiary institution that offered you admission, your admissions may not be processed successfully, unless you carry out JAMB regularization. In addition, candidates or students who do not have the JAMB admission letter but have been offered admission in tertiary institutions are also required to apply for JAMB regularization to avoid future problems.JAMB Regularization

Who needs JAMB Regularization?

The JAMB regularization procedures are for students who fall under the following categories:

  • ND, OND, HND, and NCE students still having prospective student status on JAMB portal
  • Students who have been offered admission by tertiary institutions but does not have an admission letter from JAMB
  • Students who entered into tertiary institutions through remedial/pre-degree programmes like BASIC programme, CERTIFICATE programme, or direct application to the school.
  • Students who did not register for the JAMB UTME/DE exam during the year they were offered admissionNpower recruitment

The JAMB regularization procedure allows candidates with admission from a tertiary institution but with no prior record on JAMB portal to register on the platform.

Requirements for JAMB Regularization

To successfully carry out the JAMB regularization procedure, the following documents /details will be required:

  • For applicants with a valid JAMB registration number, you will be required to present your JAMB result printout
  • O’Level Results which include; WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB
  • A passport photograph
  • Applicants’ personal details including; Full name, home address, Date of birth, email address, Phone number, gender, marital status, state or LGA of origin, previous JAMB registration number, year of enrolment
  • Applicants’ institution details which includes; Name of institution enrolled, reason for not being on JAMB list, school matriculation number, matriculation year, year of graduation, serial no. On graduating list, registrar, head of institution, etc.
  • Course of study in the tertiary institutionWAEC result

How to do JAMB Regularization

To do JAMB regularization, follow the procedures below:

  • Step 1: Visit any JAMB approved CBT centre close to you
  • Step 2: Go with all the required documents as listed above
  • Step 3: You will be required to make a payment for processing your JAMB regularization
  • Step 4: The JAMB official will then commence your JAMB regularization
  • Step 5: After your details have been confirmed, the JAMB official will proceed to complete the form
  • Step 6: After submission of the form, obtain a printout from the JAMB official
  • Step 7: Ensure that the printout is signed and stamped by the JAMB official
  • Step 8: Submit the signed form to your school’s admission office
  • Step 9: Your school’s admission officer will then submit the form to the JAMB state office or to the Abuja office
  • Step 10: You will receive a notification from JAMB to your email addressJAMB form

How to Check your JAMB Regularisation Status

To check if your JAMB Regularisation has been successful, follow the procedures below:

  • Step 1: Visit the official JAMB portal via Https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility../
  • Step 2: Enter your registered JAMB email and password
  • Step 3: Navigate to “check admission status” tab or “CAPS” and click on it
  • Step 4: Enter your examination year and JAMB registration
  • Step 5: Now click on “check admission status” to access your admission status
  • Step 6: If your JAMB Regularisation has been approved, you’ll be able to print your admission letterJAMB Result
