How to Apply for NYSC Unpaid Allowance – The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) issues stipends to corps members in form of monthly allowances. The monthly allowance was set up to help cover Corps members feeding, clothing, transport and other expenses during their service year. The NYSC allowance is usually paid via regular payroll, however during the orientation camp, the NYSC allowance is paid in cash.

There are been reports of corps members not receiving their monthly allowance even after completing their NYSC monthly clearance and other necessary obligations. In such cases, it is recommended that the affected corps member write a letter requesting for the release for his/her allowance. How to Write an Application Letter For Unpaid Allowance

If for any reason you did not receive your NYSC allowance, you should treat it as a matter of urgency and immediately notify the NYSC board through an application letter. You are expected to write an application letter to the NYSC Director General through your Local Government Inspector. The application letter must be formal and handwritten. Also, you are expected to attach an evidence, showing that your allowance has not been paid. One of such evidence is a screenshot of your NYSC dashboard showing your monthly clearance as present, and a statement of account from your bank showing your all transactions till date. I want to bring to your notice that I have not received my Federal Government monthly allowance for the month of June, 2022. I am serving in Ebonyi State with State Code EB/20A/3609. This is the first time I’m experiencing this. I have issued a complaint to my Local Government Inspector, but the allowance have not yet been credited to my account.
