Voting won’t take place in 593 polling units – INEC
Ahead of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has disclosed that the will be no election in 593 polling units.
According to DAILY POST, this is due to the non-deployment of registered voters to the affected polling units, which cuts across the six council areas of the FCT.

Mahmood Yakubu who spoke during a presentation at the Federal Capital Territory Expanded Stakeholders Security meeting, organised by the FCT Administration said that election materials will not be deployed to the affected areas.
DAILY POST reports that he advised those in the affected areas not to bother going to such places.Jamb Result
However, Yakubu assured that the affected polling units would be populated with voters before the general election in 2023.Information Guide Nigeria
He added: “The support of the traditional, community and religious leaders would be required if we are to deliver on our goals”.
