Jonathan named Africa ambassador for agriculture technology
The African Agricultural Technology Foundation has nominated former President Goodluck Jonathan as “Agricultural Technology” Ambassador for Africa.Information Guide Nigeria
Dr. Canisius Kanangire, the executive director of the AATF, stated that the appointment was based on Jonathan’s track record of championing agricultural transformation on the African continent.

The statement highlighted that Jonathan, who served as Nigeria’s president from 2010 to 2015, was in the vanguard of agricultural development on the continent.

According to the statement, while accepting the position, Jonathan stated that his desire to serve the continent as a former head of state was motivated by his desire to promote food security and transformation for a higher quality of life in Africa.NYSC portal
Kanangire said, “Dr Jonathan was able to demonstrate in Nigeria that agriculture should be treated as a business and supported by relevant policies for the improvement of the livelihoods of our growing farming population.
“Dr Jonathan is a Pan Africanist who had stood for the eradication of rural poverty and the peaceful coexistence of the continent, hence his involvement in peaceful conflict resolution on the continent.JAMB portal
