Father allegedly drugs, defiles teenage daughter in Ogun

Olukayode Joseph, age 50, is said to have sedated her 14-year-old daughter with medicines and raped her in Ogun State.Infomation Guide Nigeria

Joseph was detained on Thursday by members of the Ogun So-Safe Corps, who accused him of transforming the adolescent girl into a “sex machine.”

Friday, Moruf Yusuf, the spokesperson for So-Safe Corps, shared this information in a statement.

Yusuf stated that the agency received a distress call alleging that Joshua, a resident of Akinbo Phase 2, Opposite Ola Fatia House, Olambe in the Ifo Local Government Area of the State, had sexual contact with his daughter.

Yusuf revealed that the State Commander, Soji Ganzallo, ordered the Divisional Officer of the Corps in Oke-Aro/Olambe, SC Akeem Olaiya, to immediately arrest the suspect.

“During preliminary investigation, the suspect confessed to the crime, and pleaded for mercy after realising that there is nowhere to hide his secret deals with his innocent daughter,” Yusuf said.

It was further gathered that the victim had accused her father of serially sleeping with her after sedating her with drugs.

She said, I only used to notice white discharges from my private part.”

However, the suspect denied sedating his daughter before sleeping with her, claiming that it was their first time having sexual relations.

Yusuf stated that the suspect and victim were taken to the Ajuwon Police Division for further investigation.
