AADs, come in handy as a possible lifesaver if you are faced with a double parachute malfunction. They are designed to aid the quick activation of your reserve parachutes if by any chance it misbehaves or due to your loose clothing material you are unable to quickly grab the handle of your reserve parachute properly. Once it detects you are close to the ground, it fires up and immediately prompts your reserve parachutes to open up. 3) ALERTING A FELLOW FREE-FALLER FOR HELP
If you are not sky-diving alone, I guess this is the part where you try to alert the free-faller above you for help, you can do this by free-falling towards his direction and waving your hands in the process, all in a bid to draw his attention towards your direction and get him to notice you have issues with your parachutes. 5) FREE-FALL TOWARDS A BODY OF WATER
After repositioning yourself, the next thing to do is observe the environment below you, checking for a comfortable falling platform. It is advisable you avoid rocky grounds, stones, or buildings. If there is a body of water you should free fall towards it. You can do this by lowering your elbow a little while turning it in the direction you wish to go.
