According to a report from The Cable news, the JAMB registrar Prof. Is-haq Oloyede broke the news on Tuesday during the JAMB cabinet meeting chaired by the minister of education Adamu Adamu. Npower recruitment

The board registrar confirmed that out of 4,948 applicants who scored 300 and above, only 3,492 have been admitted into various institutions, with the remaining 1,456 unable to sail through the process. JAMB Result

In that presentation, he attributed the impotency of candidates who scored high in UTME  to gain admission into higher institutions to factors such as low post-UTME screening scores and wrong subject combination in O’level.
