MrBeast has dethroned PewDiePie as the YouTuber with the most subscribers, marking the first change at the top in nearly a decade.Information Guide Nigeria
With his game reaction videos, Swedish creator PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, became YouTube’s most subscribed user in August 2013.
He was the first individual to acquire 100 million subscribers in 2019.
This month, MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, got his 112 millionth membership due to his generosity.
Although YouTube does not provide specific figures, he now has more subscribers than PewDiePie.

Despite the appearance that MrBeast has a million more subscribers than PewDiePie, the actual amount is likely in the thousands.

MrBeast is well-known for his films showcasing massive cash and prize giveaways, as well as his charitable endeavors.
In 2021, he created a philanthropy-themed YouTube channel, which has more than 10 million subscribers, and he has a licensed charity that serves as a food bank to feed communities in the United States.
Together with fellow YouTuber Mark Rober, he organized the international collaborative fundraisers TeamSeas and TeamTrees, which focus on environmental causes. TeamTrees raised over $24 million (£16.7 million) to plant 20 million trees throughout the world.
PewDiePie himself contributed around $70,000 to the TeamTrees initiative.
Steven Bridges, a British YouTuber whose videos garner millions of views, told the BBC that MrBeast has “mastered the skill” of creating fascinating content.
“There’s probably no other YouTuber in the world who understands it as well as MrBeast,” he said.
“Making an entertaining video is one thing, but ensuring that every single second of a video keeps the viewer hooked is very difficult to pull off, and MrBeast’s retention – the percent of the video the average viewer watches – and view counts speak for themselves.
“Really, MrBeast is playing the game of making the most entertaining videos that appeal to the biggest number of people, and he’s consistently knocking it out of the park.
“I don’t think there’s any YouTuber out there that’s surprised MrBeast has taken the number one spot.”
Though neither has yet commented on the milestone, PewDiePie previously said he thought MrBeast would “definitely” overtake him.JAMB Result
“I can’t wait for it to be over,” he joked in a video from August 2022. “He definitely deserves it. I hope he does it.”
