According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the budget exceeded the N238 billion budget proposal provided to the state House of Assembly for approval by N5 billion.

Administration received over N9 billion, economy received over N102 billion, law and justice received over N1 billion, and the social sector consumed over N38 billion.NYSC portal
Despite the lack of resources, Bello was optimistic that the budget will be to the benefit of the people.

As his last budget, he stated that the future administration may make modifications to or preserve the authorised budget.JAMB portal
However, the governor expressed optimism that the 2023 budget, if implemented to 90 percent, will result in a more prosperous Niger State.
In order to achieve the approval of the 2023 bill, he praised the legislature for their ongoing support of the executive branch, proactivity, and tireless labour.
Bello thanked the leadership and members of the state Budget and Planning Commission, as well as the ministries, departments, and agencies, for their contributions to the passage of the budget.
