Nigeria exported 36% value-added products in H1 – NEPC

Nigerian businesses exported 36 per cent value-added products in the first six months of 2022, according to the Nigerian Export Promotion Council.Information Guide Nigeria

The Chief Executive Officer of NEPC, Ezra Yakusak, stated that export of primary products was valued at 33% while semi-processed and manufactured items represented 36% during a press conference to promote the upcoming NEPC Export Week scheduled to take place between November 21 and 26, 2022.

He said the situation showed that Nigerian firms “are imbibing the value-addition culture in exports,” noting that his agency would continue to sensitise exporters on the need to ship out more value-added products.

He said that the NEPC registered nearly 2000 new exporters in the first half of 2022, which was more than the number accomplished the previous year.JAMB portal
