The Chief Executive Officer of NEPC, Ezra Yakusak, stated that export of primary products was valued at 33% while semi-processed and manufactured items represented 36% during a press conference to promote the upcoming NEPC Export Week scheduled to take place between November 21 and 26, 2022.
He said the situation showed that Nigerian firms “are imbibing the value-addition culture in exports,” noting that his agency would continue to sensitise exporters on the need to ship out more value-added products.
He said that the NEPC registered nearly 2000 new exporters in the first half of 2022, which was more than the number accomplished the previous year.JAMB portal

“The Export Week, which is first of its kind to be held by the Council, is in line with the current management’s strategic efforts of imbibing, sustaining, and deepening an export culture in the non-oil export ecosystem. This we implement through series of engagements with key stakeholders within the exporting community and indeed the general public,” he said.
He listed a few of the events for the week, such as the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment launching the “Export4Survival” campaign; a symposium on “Strengthening the Non-Oil Export Sector for National Development”; and an Export Inclusiveness Day for Women and Youths.JAMB Result
