Mr Ibu wasn’t amputated on both legs – Family clarifies
The family of renowned Nigerian actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has issued a statement refuting recent reports suggesting that the actor had both legs amputated.informationguidenigeria
This clarification comes following remarks made by Dr. Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), who, in a conversation with journalists, mentioned that Mr. Ibu had undergone a second leg amputation and was struggling with speech.

The reason for this repeat procedure, as explained by the family, was that the initial amputation did not fully resolve the actor’s health issues.JAMB Result
The family also clarified that Mr Ibu is not diabetic but “had constant clotting of the blood in his leg [diseased blood vessels] and other health challenges posing risk to his life, therefore the need for the amputation.”
The family explained that the actor hasn’t been flown abroad for advanced treatment because doctors have tagged him “Not fit to fly.”JAMB Result
The family, however, said the legendary comic star was recuperating, urging his “friends, colleagues, fans and Nigerians at large to keep him in their prayers and peddle down on unconfirmed reports concerning our dad’s health.”
