The Peoples Democratic Party has tasked four governors from the South–South with pleading with Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, to back Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential nominee, in the upcoming election.

Along with the other four governors of the area, Aminu Tambuwal, the governor of Sokoto and the director general of the Atiku/Okowa Campaign Council as well as the chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, attended the meeting.

Ifeanyi Okowa, the governor of Delta State and PDP vice presidential candidate, signed the statement, which was made accessible to journalists in Uyo.
Others were Liyel Imoke, the immediate past governor of Cross River State, Lucky Igbinedion of Edo, Celestine Omehia, Prince Uche Secondus, the current and former members of the National Assembly, and sitting and former members of State Assemblies.Jamb Result
“The meeting strongly urged the four PDP Governors within the South–South Zone that took part in the meeting to do everything necessary within their powers to persuade their brother governors, especially Governor Nyesom Wike, to review their position and join hands with the party to rescue, rebuild and reunite the country in the interest of the suffering Nigerians.
