“The PDP is one big family, one Nigerian family and for that reason, we will continue to champion the interest of the country because only a prosperous Nigeria will make all of us proud.”
Following the successful inauguration of the campaign council, the party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, have decided to move forward with 2023 preparations.
The Board of Trustees is currently preparing to present the reconciliation committee’s report.
Although Governor Nyesom Wike and his group are insisting on the removal of the party’s national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, the PCC chairman, Udom Emmanuel, and the Director General of the Campaign Council and governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal have sided with Ayu, arguing that whatever the issues are, they can be resolved after the party wins the elections in February of next year.
At the time of going to print, it was unclear what alternatives remained for the pro-Wike faction, considering Atiku’s willingness to have Ayu by his side till the elections are done.
