Amaka Ekwo, a former Press Secretary of Biafra political activist, Nnamdi Kanu, on Tuesday asked the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to encourage people of the southeast region to vote in the 2023 general elections in Nigeria. POLITICS NIGERIA reports.

Speaking further on Tuesday morning, the Biafra activist expressed her opinion that IPOB showing aversion towards the 2023 election might put Anambra-born Peter Obi ‘at a disadvantage’ in the presidential poll. Information Guide Nigeria

Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, is the presidential flagbearer of the Labour Party (LP).

“We must be careful. Any attempt to stop election in Biafra-land will not be good for IPOB. If IPOB puts @PeterObi in a disadvantage in the coming election, Igbo politicians will never allow #BiafraReferendum to take place.
