Reason Nigeria Can’t Fight Corruption – Calabar Anglican Bishop

Rt. Rev. Prof. Nneoyi Egbe, the Anglican Bishop of Calabar says Nigeria’s Institutions are built on lies and so cannot fight corruption.

He made this known during a statement on the state of the nation he released during the 2nd Session of the Eleventh Synod of the diocese. Information Guide Nigeria

He said: “There is clear evidence that nothing has changed for the better in the last seven years, in spite of all the hue and cry across the nation.

“We have progressively fallen lower and lower and currently appear to be rolling downhill under very high acceleration. jamb results

“What comes to mind here, is that we have become acclimatised to the lies we have told ourselves for so long that every further step we take is a comedy.

“Our institutions are built on these lies which is why we cannot fight corruption.

“We talk so much, have proven, bright, analytical minds all over the country.

” Yet the same minds placed in any position of responsibility produce nothing but lies”, he said.
