The Nigerian government, through the National Universities Commission (NUC), has identified and disclosed a list of at least 37 illegal universities operating within the country. This revelation was made by Chris Maiyaki, the Acting Secretary of the NUC, during an interview on Channels Television.JAMB Portal
Maiyaki highlighted that arrests have been made in an effort to clamp down on these unauthorized institutions, with the Department of State Services (DSS) playing a key role in this operation. The NUC is taking this issue seriously, considering the potential risks and frauds posed by these illegal universities to students and parents.
