Economic Development And Business Education:

It cannot be breaking news that this country, Nigeria, is still facing some sort of challenges, occasioned by an inconsistent government, and corruption, and poverty, and terrorism, and unemployment as well as, a poor academic system.
If you observed clearly, you will discover that these challenges do not only affect the national economy, rather they also affect the Nigerian youths.
Given this scenario, to pursue business education and as well, build a thriving career in the country, can look as a hard task for most Nigerian youths for instance.
But the truth remained that Nigeria is trying its best to move away from this challenge of remaining a developing nation to that of becoming a player in the global economic development league.
Accordingly, Nigeria, as a nation is striving effectively towards gaining a sense of commitment and that of objectivity to not only facing the country’s social and economic challenges but to also create a better environment for every Nigerian citizen.
And I tell you that, the Nigerian government as well as, other relevant establishments are now working closely, taking proactive steps to not only addressing social problems and economic issues but to also put some measures in place, such that will help improve the country’s education system.
You will agree with me that education is undoubtedly a key pillar for national and economic development. Taking a close look at the significance of business education in Nigeria, you will see education, as it were, as the basic fundamental for national development.

Business Education For Development:

You cannot deny the fact that education is necessary for development, especially, business education, because it is the aspect of education upon which, economic development revolves around.
That is why, it is crucial and necessary that Nigerians, who have earned business education be given important and critical positions of leadership particularly in the area that will boost national and economic development.
Even in the political arena, these individuals with business managerial skills and scientific view of business principles are those well suited to be entrusted with the leadership.
That is why, schools in Nigeria at all levels should make sure that they instruct and also educate every Nigerian child, who is Nigeria’s future leader with business education, in a manner that will make him develop high-level business and technical skills plus abilities necessary for Nigeria’s economic progress and social development.
On the contrary, the state of Nigerian schools and colleges have raised grave concern, even though, the Nigerian government has taken some bold steps to address the situation, yet enough is still needs to be done in the Nigerian school system.
You cannot imagine that quite a number of Nigerian students are lacking behind as a result of this scenario. And if this continues, most of the undergraduate degree students, especially those in the business education will ultimately lack the requisite qualification to serve the Nigerian nation, in terms of adequate literacy and numeracy skills.
And this may create serious problems for Nigerians who desire to pursue their higher education and as well, earn a college degree in business education.
Or what do you expect if the state of education in Nigeria, is in shamble? Nigerian students are very bright students, and with quality and conducive school system, they are standing chances of having better days ahead.
Entrance examinations conducted have also proven that many of the students are not good enough, occasioned by inadequate facilities and instructional materials, and I am worried, how the future of these young Nigerians would look like if what is happening in the country’s educational system continues.

Why Business Education?

It is because business education is necessary and important for Nigeria’s national and economic development. This, however, has well explained the importance of business education in Nigeria.
For instance, earning a degree in business education has now become even more necessary, and more crucial for Nigerian citizens, irrespective of whether what they want is to build a career that will thrive or what they want is to start their personal businesses.
But the truth is that, with some recognised Busines schools in Nigeria, is it possible for every Nigerian who wishes to earn a degree in management or economic, to receive quality business education.
Although studying a full time Master’s degree or pursuing a business degree in the country is somehow difficult in view of the prevalent socio-economic and political situation in Nigeria, a number of Nigerian students, who  are aspiring to be Nigerian business leaders have rather decided to pursue the programme online from some of the leading United Kingdom universities and Business schools.
The reason is obvious, the United Kingdom universities are known for following the highest academic standards, where aspiring Nigerian business leaders can get high-quality education and acquire all the necessary and useful business skills.
However, to study such a sellable and recognised programme such as business education online, can actually help in saving some of the time and money one would have spent in the available university within.
And one of the advantages is that students are likely to receive comprehensive knowledge in core management principles and concepts as well as, developing their skills by also working full time or pursuing a part-time job while they are still studying their programmes.
Another advantage that online programme offers is the excellent flexibility and convenience, while students will have the opportunity of working and studying at the same time.

Conclusion

Education is necessary for development, especially, business education, because business education is that aspect of education upon which, national and economic development revolves around.
