The Corporate vice president of Microsoft’s Office media group, Chris Pratley, explains that “Clipchamp is a natural fit to extend the cloud-powered productivity experiences in Microsoft 365 for individuals, families, schools, etc, as a web app that uses the full power of your PC.”
The media head of Microsoft said “it’s a great fit for Microsoft Windows,” which suggests that Microsoft could integrate Clipchamp into Windows in the future. The vice president of the media group added by saying that the Clipchamp already exists as an app in the Microsoft Store, and Microsoft’s existing video editing tools for Windows are lackluster, to say the least.
