Former Governor Of Kano Dumps APC To NNPP
Ibrahim Shekarau, a one-time governor of Kano State has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
Shekarau is the current Senator representing Kano Central in the National Assembly.

His defection was announced in a letter read by Senate President Ahmad Lawan on Wednesday. Information Guide Nigeria
According to the letter, Shekarau’s defection was as a result of injustice he suffered due to the actions of Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje. jamb results
He further noted that the APC in Kano State is struggling with an unresolved crisis.
Parts of the letter read, “I am defecting from the APC to my new party, the New Nigeria Peoples Party, as a result of unfairness and injustice by Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
“For the past two years there has been an unresolved crisis in the Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, hence, I have resigned my membership.”
