The governors, operating under the umbrella of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), were led to the meeting by their Chairman, who is the Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu.

It was reported by DAILY TRUST PAPERS that the meeting was convened towards reaching a consensus ahead of Saturday’s National Convention of the ruling party, following signs of disagreements among party stakeholders over the choice of personalities purportedly endorsed by the President.
