WAEC (O’ level) Subject Combination for Political Science 2022

Although it is titled WAEC subject combination for political science, it isn’t limited to only WAEC. However, the subject combination is the same for all O’Level examinations (GCE, NECO, NABTEB, etc.).How to Transfer Glo Airtime to Another User

To be eligible to study political science in a tertiary institution, you must first obtain at least five (5) O’Level credit passes in the required subjects for political science. These subjects include;UNILORIN Admission Portal www.uilugportal.unilorin.edu.ng/ Latest Update

  1. Government or History.
  2. Use of English Language.
  3. Mathematics
  4. Any other three (3) O’Level subjects.

Some tertiary institutions have special considerations and waivers when it comes to subject combination for political science. I’ve outlined a few of these special considerations below.WAEC and JAMB Subject Combination for Political Science

Special Consideration / Waiver For Political Science

  1. ABUAD, GO, OOU, UNICAL, OAU, LASU, and EKSU will only accept a credit pass in Mathematics. Also, EKSU does not accept Government, but other Social Science subjects can be used.
  2. OAU and UNICAL demand a credit pass in Government.
  3. UI requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in Government or History, English Language, and any other three (3) other subjects with at least a pass in Mathematics.
  4. UNICAL requires two (2) Social Science subjects which include Government. However, they do not accept History in lieu of Government.
  5. UNN requires ‘O’ Level credit pass in Government and 2 other subjects with at least a pass in Mathematics. History will not be accepted in lieu of Government.
  6. EBSU requires an O’level pass in Mathematics and two (2) other subjects.
  7. AAUA accepts five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes which include English Language, Mathematics, Government or History, and one other subject in Social Science and any other subject.
  8. JABU will accept a pass in Mathematics.
  9. ABU Zaria requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes which include English Language, Mathematics, Government or History, and two other Social Science subjects from either Economics, Commerce, Civic Education or Geography.
  10. KASU will demand a credit pass in Mathematics.
  11. ABSU requires Five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in the following subjects; English Language, Government or History and three (3) other subjects from Arts, Social Science subjects and at least a pass in Mathematics
  12. KWASU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in the following subjects; English Language, Mathematics, Government or History and two (2) other subjects from either Social Science subjects or Arts.
  13. UNILAG demands five credit passes in the following subjects; English Language, mathematics, Government, and two other subjects from Economics, Geography, History, Literature in English, or CRS/IRS.
  14. KSU demands a Credit pass in Mathematics is required.
  15. BOWEN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in the following subjects; English Language, Mathematics, Government, and two other subjects from social sciences.
  16. AAUA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in the following subjects; English Language, Mathematics, Government or History, one subject from Social Science, and one from art.
  17. RSUST accepts Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes in the following subjects; English Language, Mathematics, and any other three (3) Social Science Subjects.
  18. UNILORIN accepts five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in the following subjects; English Language, Mathematics, Government, one other social science subject, and any other subject.WAEC Result

JAMB Subject Combination for Political Science 2022

As you already know, English Language is a compulsory subject for all courses in JAMB UTME exam including Political Science. Hence, the other three (3) JAMB UTME subject combination for political science include:

  1. Government or History.
  2. Any other two (2) Social Science or Arts subjects.

Special Consideration / Waiver For Political Science

  1. LASU requires Mathematics as a compulsory subject
  2. UNILORIN requires; Government or History and any other two subjects from either of Economics, Geography Lit in English, English, and Mathematics.
  3. AAU requires Government and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
  4. UNILAG requires Government, Economics, or Geography and either History, Literature-in-English, or CRS/IRS.
  5. DELSU requires Government as mandatory, and any Social Science subject and one other subject.
  6. EBSU requires Government as mandatory, and any two (2) Social Science subjects
  7. AAUA requires Government or History, Economics and any other subject.
  8. ABU requires Government or History, and any of the following; Economics, Geography, Civic Education, Islamic Studies, or Christian Religious Studies
  9. KSU requires Government or History and any two (2) Commercial, Social Science or Arts subjects.
  10. ABU requires Government/History and any of the following subjects; Economics, Geography, Commerce, or Civic Education.
