Ways of EFCC Improvement
1. Sensitization Campaigns
For efficiency in its operations, EFCC should carry out sensitization campaigns against corruption. Many Nigerians do not know the ill of corruption.Ways to Improve EFCC
In addition, many youths feel that money is everything. These are those who engage in “yahoo, yahoo” in Nigeria. They need to be taught the implications of what they are doing and what the result would be.
2. Collaborations
EFCC should improve by collaborating with other stakeholders. It cannot fight alone and succeed. Some Nigerians believe in anti-corruption. These persons would be ready to collaborate with EFCC.
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) is a good body that EFCC should collaborate with. In the association, EFCC should find anti-corruption lawyers who can assist it in all its prosecutions.
Another body that EFCC should collaborate with is the Police Force. Not all police officers are corrupt. EFCC should seek out anti-corruption officers among the police and work with them.

Complaints abound on the net that EFCC does not carry out thorough investigations before it prosecutes offenders. This accounts for most of the failures in its cases. Therefore, the FBI can help it in this wise. How to transfer airtime on MTN: a comprehensive guide

3. Legislative Aids
Our lawmakers should help EFCC out in all legislative matters. For the efficiency of the EFCC, our lawmakers should amend some sections of the constitution and enact some new laws that will help the EFCC function more effectively than it is doing now.20 Best Tripods in Nigeria and their Prices
For instance, our constitution does not allow prolonged detention before prosecution. In the case of EFCC, some prolonged detentions might be necessary due to the circumstances surrounding such detentions.
In addition, our laws do not recognize electronic evidence in our law courts. Nowadays, most crimes are committed electronically, making such evidence tenable in court. All these will help improve EFCC.
4. Discipline within EFCC Officials
Undeniably, there are corrupt persons in EFCC. EFCC should first deal with these persons before dealing with outsiders.
5. Independent Commission
EFCC should become an independent commission that is free from external interference. The executive controlling it is not good enough. It does not allow EFCC to deal with the government as is fit. Therefore, EFCC should become an independent body.NYSC portal
6. International Standards
Nigeria is not the only country bedevilled by corruption. Most developed countries have passed through what Nigeria is passing through now. EFCC should learn from these countries.
Some EFCC practices in Nigeria are not acceptable outside Nigeria. It is for this reason that EFCC should seek international standards in its practices. EFCC cannot deal with Nigeria in isolation.

7. EFCC Head
Our lawmakers and the Federal Government should look into the method of appointing a head for EFCC. The person to head the commission should be a person that is not corrupt.200 Romantic love message for her
The government and the lawmakers can look for a retired judicial officer with an anti-corruption record of accomplishment and appoint such a person to head the commission. Such a person would not allow corrupt officials in his cabinet. Such a person can deal with offenders without fear or favor.
Another area where the government and the lawmakers can seek a head for the commission is within the academia. Anybody within the academia who has a good record of accomplishment can be a good fit for the headship of EFCC.
8. Adequate Funding
Whatever is worth doing is worth doing well. There is no how EFCC can function effectively without adequate funding. The Federal Government should make a special budget for EFCC.
Like the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), EFCC should have a special fund of its own that it controls. The law should empower it to retain a percentage of any funds that it recovers from persons or organizations.
Nothing moves human beings like motivation. If the lawmakers enact a law now that anybody who recovers money from a looter is entitled to a certain amount, everybody would like to become a loot recovered. In the same vein, motivating EFCC would make it more effective than it is now. Recovering billions of naira for nothing is not palatable.JAMB portal

9 Formation of Special Anti-Corruption Courts
Unbelievably, EFCC loses most cases because the judges in our courts do not support it. Most of them see EFCC as a witch hunter. The same thing goes for most lawyers and police officers. They see EFCC as against their way of life.
EFCC would succeed more than it had done if it has special anti-corruption courts in which it tries its offenders. These special anti-corruption courts should have special anti-corruption judges, lawyers, and police officers who arrest offenders and prosecute them.
If EFCC must succeed, every possible thing must be done by whoever has the power to do it to help it. One thing that will help EFCC to improve and meet the expectations of anti-corruption crusaders is the formation of these special anti-corruption courts.
10. Corruption Hunters
To improve EFCC, all Nigerians must become corruption hunters. The work of fighting economic and financial crimes must not be left to EFCC alone. All Nigerians’ hands must be on deck.
To help all Nigerians contribute their quota, EFCC should have offices in all states of the Federation. These offices should be conspicuous with their phone numbers made public for easy contact.
People are not aware of the workings of EFCC. Many are not aware of how to reach EFCC. Therefore, EFCC should make its working mode public and publish how the public can reach it.
One day, a man called me saying he is from First Bank’s national headquarters. He said that my ATM card has a problem and wants to help me rectify it. He asked me for the number of the card. I gave it to him. He then asked me for the PIN. At this time, I suspected him to be a fraudster.
I refused to give him the PIN. Is this type of matter within EFCC’s jurisdiction? We should know. If I send the person’s phone number to EFCC, does it have the ability to track and arrest the culprit? These are matters that EFCC should make public.Jamb Result
