The talkmore bonus can be used for phone calls, SMS, and PayG data. Surprisingly, you don’t have to leave the current tariff you are on before you can benefit from the Airtel talkmore package. All you need to do is dial a code or send an SMS and then, you key in to talking more for less.

However, unlike many other bonus packages offered by Airtel, the talkmore bonus package is not given automatically when you recharge; you have to make a special request for it whenever you need an airtime boost on your account.

Each bonus request also has its own specific percentage and expiry date; depending on how much you are using in exchange for the talkmore bonus.

The basic code to dial in order to access the Airtel Talkmore Package consists of these three numbers, 234. You either dial using this number or send an SMS to the number. Here is how it works:

1. 150 Naira Bundle

If you have up to 150 Naira or above on your Main account and you desire an airtime boost,  simply dial *234*150# or send 150 to 234 through SMS.

Once your request is successful, you’d receive a bonus of 350 Naira for calling any network, SMS and for Data. This bonus is about 133% increase.

The 150 Naira Talkmore Bundle Plan is valid for only one day (24 hours) and cannot be extended.

2. 250 Naira Bundle

With up to 250 Naira on your Main account, you can boost your airtime by dialling *234*250# or send 250 to 234 through SMS.

Once your request is successful, you’d receive a bonus of 650 Naira for calling any network including making international calls, send SMS and you can also use it for PayG data. This bonus is about 160% bonus.

This 250 Naira Talkmore Bundle Plan is also valid for one day (24 hours), but you can request for an additional day (24 hours) extension and Airtel would give you for free. This implies that once you make a request for extension, you can use the bonus airtime for two (2) days.

3. 700 Naira Bundle

Here is no doubt the most expensive and yet most beneficial of the talkmore package because it comes with a longer validity period, larger percentage bonus and it is also extendable.

Therefore, with a 700 Naira Main account balance, you can boost your airtime by simply dialling *234*700# or by sending 700 to 234.

Once your request is successful, you’d receive a bonus airtime of 2,100 Naira  which you can use to call all networks in Nigeria, including international calls, send SMS and for PayG data. This bonus you receive is about 200% of 700 Naira.

The 700 Naira Talkmore Bundle Plan has a validity period of three (3) days with an opportunity to request for an additional day extension. This implies that once you make a request for extension, you can use the bonus airtime for four (4) days.

Important Facts About The Airtel Talkmore Package

1. All the above talkmore bundle plans are meant for prepaid customers only. Postpaid customers will have to call the Airtel customer service for further assistance.

2. After the validity period for your talkmore bonus airtime has expired, you cannot access the bonus again.

3. Also beware that once you make a request for this talkmore bonus airtime boost, the amount equivalent you used to make the request would be deducted from your main account balance to give you the bounty bonus airtime.

For instance if you dialled *234*700# or sent 700 to 234 via SMS, and you received a 2,100 Naira worth of airtime bonus, then 700 Naira would be deducted from your main account balance.

How To Check Your Airtime Bonus

Just dial *123*5# from your phone using your Airtel line and your bonus details will pop up on-screen.

How To Request For Validity Extension Period For 250 Naira  And 700 Naira Talkmore Bundles

For the 250 Naira Talkmore Bundle; simply dial *234*250*1# and the validity period would be extended by one additional day (24 hours).

For the 700 Naira Talkmore Bundle; just dial *234*700*1# and the validity period would be extended by one additional day (24 hours).

In case you have a current bundle with some remaining value, you can buy another bundle if you want to; for examples:

a. If you have a first bundle of one day validity and it has some value remaining and you buy another bundle of say, 3 days validity, the remaining old value will be included with the new bundle and the total value will have 3 days validity.

b. Also, if the first bundle has 3 days validity remaining and you purchase another bundle with one day validity that same day, all bundle value will be valid until 23:59hrs of the 3rd day.

c. However, in a situation where the first bundle has one day validity and another bundle with one day validity is purchased that same day, all bundle value will be valid until 23:59hrs of that day.
