1. Akwa Ibom

Akwa Ibom is undoubtedly Nigeria’s most resource-rich state. It accounts for over 32% of the country’s oil output. The ExxonMobil-operated Qua Iboe Terminal is the largest crude oil export terminal in Nigeria and one of the largest in Africa. Akwa Ibom also has significant reserves of natural gas, clay, limestone, uranium and granite. The state has the highest quality of limestone deposits in Nigeria. 2. Delta State

Delta is another major oil producing state in Nigeria. It is the leading oil and gas producing state in the country, accounting for about 22% of Nigeria’s crude oil production. The state has vast deposits of natural gas, crude oil, and petroleum products. Major oil and gas fields located in Delta include Ughelli, Escravos, Forcados, Burutu and Otorogu.
