1. Akwa Ibom

Delta is another major oil producing state in Nigeria. It is the leading oil and gas producing state in the country, accounting for about 22% of Nigeria’s crude oil production. The state has vast deposits of natural gas, crude oil, and petroleum products. Major oil and gas fields located in Delta include Ughelli, Escravos, Forcados, Burutu and Otorogu. The Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas plant which produces liquefied natural gas for export is situated in Bonny Island. Aside from oil and gas, Delta is rich in rubber, palm oil and timber. 3. Rivers

Ondo State has significant oil and gas reserves both onshore and offshore. The state produces over 100,000 barrels of crude oil per day. It also has one of the largest gas reserves in Nigeria. 9. Edo
Edo is well-endowed with mineral resources such as crude oil, natural gas, limestone, lignite, clay, kaolin, gypsum and marble. Talc-schist, bitumen and quartzite are also present in commercial quantities. The state has promising oil and gas fields both onshore and offshore. About 35,000 barrels of Edo’s light crude oil known as Escravos Light are produced per day. Edo has over one billion cubic feet of natural gas waiting to be tapped.
