How to Check Your NYSC Status Online

  1. Go to the official NYSC portal at https://portal.nysc.org.ng.
  2. Navigate to “Check senate list or its equivalent” and click on it
  3. Select your tertiary institution from the list of Institutions
  4. Enter your Matriculation number into the required column
  5. Enter your correct surnameCheck NYSC Status
  6. Enter your correct date of birth into the required column
  7. Click on the Search icon below to view your NYSC status
  8. If you are eligible for the NYSC program, your details will pop up on the screen.

Alternatively;

  1. Visit the NYSC Senate/academic list portal via https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc2/VerifySenateLists.aspx.
  2. Select your tertiary institution from the list of Institutions
  3. Enter your Matriculation number into the required column
  4. Enter your Surname into required columnJAMB Result
  5. Enter your date of birth
  6. Click on the “Search” icon below
  7. If you are eligible for the NYSC program, your details will pop up on the screen.

After confirming your name on the list, you can now proceed with your NYSC registration. However, if your name is not found on the list, then you’ll need to visit your tertiary institution to find out what’s the problem.

How to Make My Name Appear on the NYSC Senate List

If your name isn’t on the NYSC senate list, then ensure that you carry out the following operations to make your name appear on the list:

  1. Make sure you have been properly cleared by your tertiary institutionJAMB Form
  2. You must have obtained your Statement of Result from your tertiary institution
  3. Make sure you have the original copy of your JAMB admission letter and JAMB original result, print it out again if you don’t.WAEC Result
  4. Check if your name is on the JAMB Matriculation list
  5. Finally, confirm that your details have been sent to the NYSC office by your tertiary institution.
