Christianity and the Burden of Unison

Is Christianity a controversial religion? Jesus Christ on whose name Christianity emerged was peaceful, loving, kind, simple, truthful, friendly, caring, straightforward, honest, and objective while preaching about Himself and the kingdom of His father. Information Guides Nigeria

There is no topic known to man that Jesus Christ did not touch while alive doing His earthly ministry, and through the inspiration and revelation of the holy spirit, these themes were duly documented as well as those revealed to and documented by early prophets. Why, then, do we have countless divergent opinions and unending arguments on virtually everything about Christianity reducing its practice to a burden of unison.

From the personality of Jesus Christ, some Christian organisations bitterly condemn those who call Jesus Christ “God”. They argue that Jesus is only the son of God, therefore, cannot be God Himself. Some see Him as God, the Son, and the holy spirit: a three-in-one being. Yet, others in the same Christendom see Trinity in Jesus Christ as occultic belief as Jesus Christ cannot be God, son, and holy spirit at the same time. Npower recruitment

Some Christian organisations even believe and claim that their spiritual head is the same Jesus Christ that has come back to dwell among men as he had promised in His first coming, and so accord all the honour that God deserves to their spiritual head. Some of these spiritual heads who claim to be the “returned” Jesus in many occasions of different scenarios order their adherents to bury them alive as they would resurrect after three days as it was the case in their “first coming”. Bank USSD Codes in Nigeria

Dressing in Christianity is another warpath. Some forbid wearing of shoes, some condemn women who do not cover their heads; some see as adulterous, women who wear trousers, while some believe that worshipping God is an attitude of mind which has nothing to do with outward look and so encourage their members to dress even half-naked to the glory of God. Celebration of important events in Christianity paints dreaded opinions. For instance, some Christian organisations condemn in strong terms the celebration of Christmas, stating that the actual date Jesus was born is not known to man. This set of Christians argues that the day “25th December” that Christendom sets aside for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ was actually a day of paganism in the old biblical history.

Yet, the same Christendom celebrates the world over the birth of Jesus Christ on 25th December every year. On Easter, some see it as an empty memorial service of a spiritual being that had arisen many years ago and is now in His honour and glory with His Father in heaven; while others mourn, wail, and would not eat meat on Good Friday so that they do not eat the blood of Jesus, but after the Good Friday, they eat the same meat. Then, comes baptism. Some Christian organisations see baptism by whatever means as an outward exercise that should be condemned; others support water baptism by immersion, others by sprinkling, and others by fire.

Tithe is also another area of controversy in Christianity. Some Christian organisations see tithe as a command from God and whoever fails to pay must die. Other Christian groups condemn the payment of tithe, describing the practice as undue taxing of members which does not have any new testament application.dollar to naira rate

Where is heaven? Is heaven above or below? Does heaven exist in physical form or is it a mere threat for man to sit up? Again, Christianity places a burden of unison here. Some Christian organisations preach that there is no place called heaven above but on earth which would be remoulded for everlasting living where there would be no sickness, no war, no hunger, but joy between wild animals and men living together as friends. Still, some Christian denominations still stand their grounds that heaven is a physical place above where all good people would grow wings and fly to on judgement day while sinners would be thrown to hell or hell fire for everlasting suffering – which is equally another issue of controversy in Christianity.
