The FIRS informed the senate panel that the 1.6 billion naira in its fiscal document was meant for staff who retired last year, and for those due for retirement this year.

The Senate committee during the meeting observed that the FIRS proposed in 2015, 350 million naira and received the approval of 148 million naira. However, they spent only 116 million of the approved amount.

According to the panel chairman, the FIRS may not have these people on board, maybe until the end of the year, but they have already allocated over 16 billion naira which is outrageous.ICAN Portal www.icanig.org 2022 Check Application Update
